And in other news, DWM issue 398 came out today with 4 different covers (above)it it available at WHSMiths and other good book stores and priced 3.99.

Davros himself, actor Julian Bleach, talks exclusively about taking on the role of the Daleks’ creator in the latest Doctor Who Magazine...

Is the fact that other actors have played the part in the past a help or a hindrance? “That can make it harder to approach it afresh,” considers Julian, “but it’s more of a problem if you’re trying to find a new interpretation of the character. What I was trying to do with Davros was to recreate – and match as closely as possible – a previously established character.” So what’s Julian’s take on Davros? Twisted megalomaniac? Mad scientist? Misguided genius? “All of those things, but I’d say the character was very probably originally inspired by Hitler, and I found that to be quite a useful reference point, particularly in some of his more dogmatic speeches!”

It’s not just Davros who’s quizzed this issue – DWM has been keeping up with the Joneses (Martha, Francine, Harriet and Ianto), the Smiths (Mickey, Sarah Jane, Luke and Mr Smith, and even the Doctor at one point) and a host of Tylers and Nobles, as well as the odd Mott, Cooper and Harkness. This, then, is one of DWM’s most ambitious projects ever: in issue 398, DWM talks to the entire regular and returning cast of The Stolen Earth and Journey’s End! Find out which former companion had to have an injection to stop her vomiting. Discover whose bottom to hold onto in a crisis, and whose gave Catherine Tate a shock. Learn which actress is happy to “mug away in the background.” And establish who would win in a Dalek Crucible-based wind-breaking competition!

DWM 398 features exclusive interviews with: David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman, Billie Piper, John Barrowman, Gareth David-Lloyd, Eve Myles, Penelope Wilton, Jacqueline King, Bernard Cribbins, Noel Clarke, Camille Coduri, Adjoa Andoh, Elisabeth Sladen, Thomas Knight, John Leeson, Alexander Armstrong, Nicholas Briggs, Julian Bleach, David Tennant (again!) & Richard Dawkins.

PLUS!
*The Doctor and Donna’s battle with the Sycorax reaches its explosive climax in the final part of *the latest full colour comic strip The Widow’s Curse.

following story: "World War Three"

not that much news today, well hardley any news since dr who has ended, well here it is:

in an interviw with "this is london" newspaper she has said that she willstar in a new play called Under the Blue Sky.

you can read the first part of the interviw below:

Catherine tate and I are talking about embarrassing crushes (are there any other kind?). "Ooh," she recalls, her face crumpling in memory. "It's that thing where you're not interested in someone until someone tells you they fancy you. And then suddenly you're 'Oh, right', you start making the case for it, don't you? And then when they go off you, you're left with this awful crush." Tomorrow Tate, 40, opens in the West end revival of David Eldridge's Under the Blue Sky, first seen at the royal Court in 2000 - a bittersweet comedy about the tangled love lives of a group of London teachers. Tate is Michelle, the hilariously promiscuous 38-year-old maths teacher who has just been dumped by the love of her life.

You can see the full interviw here and under the Under the Blue Sky's homepage here

The Stolen Earth shown at 17:30 got 1.6 million watching, and was the 21st most watched programme of the day. The programme won its time slot. Journey's End, shown later at 18:15, got 2.6 million watching and was the 13Th most watched programme of the day.

and lastly the BBC site has been updated (well not rely updated but new)

firstly after the repeat of Dr who last night they aired a 20 second long Sarah Jane time teaser:

in an interview with the daily Telegraph, Julie Gardner said some news of the specials next year. she said The first of the specials will air this Christmas and the last of the specials will air next Christmas.

here's a unique quote from the interview:

"Our main motivation for giving Doctor Who a break is that we want the audience to remember how much they love it," she said. "Come 2010, we want people to be cheering its return. We are making four one-hour specials. The first, which we've already filmed, will go out this Christmas. The next will go out the following Easter. The other specials have yet to be scheduled, although one will definitely be on at Christmas 2009."

and talking about next year it is rumoured that one of the episodes will be set in Egypt...

and lastly, ever wondered what would happen if top gear meet doctor who?
lets find out:

firstly its now the first day without who since the first of April so I'm heartbroken, but luckily Ive got 2 hearts so I'm fine to post:

2008 Christmas Special:
according to "very good, close sources", this episode is indeed based on that audio, and is a light comedy after the tearjerker of the finale. David Morrisey is the fake Doctor, and the Cybershades/Cyberwraiths are fakes made by Morrissey's character, only for the real Cybermen (and the real Doctor) to show up...

Filming has finished for the 2008 Christmas special rumored to be called "Ghosts in Machines" and you can now see the trailer here on the BBC website.

2009 specials:
there will either be 3 or 4 our long specials, one of which will broadcast at Easter and another at Christmas.

John Simm (who plays the sixth master)- instead of a small cameo in series 4, plans were changed to bring the Master in a much bigger way in the specials

Paul Mgann (the eighth doctor) is rumoured to return in 2009 in an episode directed by Graham Harper (heard by a few people but apparently the "latest sources" say this is not happening)

2 of the specials will be written by R.T.Davis and the rest will be co written by him.

According to Julie Gardner, characters and storylines from last series will not necessarily be picked up for the specials

Sea Devils. "The return of The Sea Devils is definitely planned and all preliminary work has long since been concluded."

how many specials are there?:

Three specials were mentioned in the original press release.
DT confirmed four on the Andrew Marr show.
DWM 397 also confirmed four specials for 2009.
The Guardian said there were five in total.
The latest information from Julie Gardner mentions four specials (including Christmas 2008) then mentions DT coming back to film them.

series 5:
as you all know R.T.Davis will hand over the tardis key to S.Moffat (R.T.D is leaving and is being replaced by S.M)

According to DWM, apparently "THEY'RE BACK" but we don't know who they are but properly the daleks.

Einstein And Eddington
and secondley the BBC have recently released information about Einstein And Eddington, the upcoming show starring David Tennant as Arthur Eddington.read more about it below:

"David Tennant and Andy Serkis star in this drama set amid the chaos and uncertainty of the First World War. Einstein And Eddington chronicles the interlinked stories of two extraordinary men striving for a greater truth while refusing to be constrained by national boundaries.

Albert Einstein (Serkis) spent years working on his General Theory of Relativity, which threatened to overturn two centuries of Newtonian certainty and the foundations of British science. Arthur Eddington (Tennant) was a prominent British astrophysicist who, as a Quaker, believed that "truth knows no boundaries" and bravely championed Einstein’s theories while Britain rejected anything German.

In 1919, Eddington undertook an expedition to Africa to photograph light bending round the sun during an eclipse. These photographs not only proved the theory to be correct, but turned Einstein into a worldwide superstar.

Directed by Philip Martin (Prime Suspect – The Final Act) and written by Peter Moffat (Hawking), Einstein And Eddington co-stars Jim Broadbent, Lucy Cohu, Jodhi May and Rebecca Hall."

it will air (be put on TV) this autumn (2008) on BBC Two and you can view a Advert from the show here, and you can see David Tennent filming at st Johns here.

will you be watching Einstein And Eddington? please comment below.

the bbc have made another book about dr who and it is about the adventures of russel t davis and his journey through time and space, no its not rely (lol) you can read bout it below

A unique look into the BBC’s most popular family drama, Doctor Who: The Writer's Tale is a year in the life of the hit television series, as told by the show’s Head Writer and Executive Producer. A candid and in-depth correspondence between Russell T Davies and journalist Benjamin Cook, the book explores in detail Russell's work on Series Four, revealing how he plans the series and works with the show's writers; where he gets his ideas for plot, character and scene; how actors are cast and other creative decisions are made; and how he juggles the demands of Doctor Who with the increasingly successful Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures spin-offs.

Russell’s scripts are discussed as they develop, and Russell and Ben’s wide-ranging discussions bring in experiences from previous series of Doctor Who as well as other shows Russell has written and created, including Queer As Folk, Bob & Rose, and The Second Coming. The reader is given total access to the show as it’s created, and the writing is everything you would expect from Russell T Davies: warm, witty, insightful, and honest.

Fully illustrated with never-before-seen photos and artwork – including original drawings by Russell himself – The Writer's Tale is a not only the ultimate Doctor Who book, but a celebration of great writing and great television.

Doctor Who: The Writer's Tale is scheduled for release on the 25th September. The book will be hardback, consist of 512 pages and go on sale at an RRP of £30. Russell and Ben will be making an appearance at the National Theatre on the 7th November 2008 to promote and discuss the book.

heres what some of them said:

Grrr - I phoned the Doctor's phone number but there was just an annoying network message.""What's the point in showing a phone number if you're not gonna use it?!"

"They showed that number so many times, as if they were asking for it to be called."

In other news, the official ratings for Turn left have been released

The figures show that episode eleven of the current series, Turn Left, had a final viewing figure of 8.09 million for its debut showing on Saturday night on BBC One. This is over a million viewers higher than the initial overnight figure, and means the episode finished in 4th place in the most-watched programmes across all channels for the week. This is the highest chart placing ever gained by a regular series episode of Doctor Who, beaten only by the 2nd place finish of last year's Christmas special, Voyage of the Damned.

The BBC Three Sunday night repeat of the episode gained 915,000 viewers, finishing fourth for the week out of all BBC Three programmes.

And lastly Elisabeth salden (who plays Shara jane smith) says it is quite unlikely that she will return to dr Who (noooooooooooooo)You can read the whole article below:

Elisabeth Sladen believes that she will never appear in Doctor Who after the current season.
The actress reprised her role as former companion Sarah Jane Smith in the two-part finale 'The Stolen Earth/Journey's End', but felt that it will be her character's swansong on the show.
Sladen told Doctor Who Magazine: "This time, actually, I said to David [Tennant], 'I've never thought this before, but I think this is the last time I'll be here'. It felt like it was my last time on Doctor Who."
"I'm happy with that," she continued. "You have to stop somewhere. And then I thought, well, I'd better enjoy these episodes. And I did. I had the most amazing time. It's been fun."
Since being a series regular in the 1970s, Sladen has returned to the show on several occasions and is currently filming a second season of CBBC's The Sarah Jane Adventures.

o my god I have found a viedo of the next dr, now I dont Know whether this is just some person

Heres an interviw with freema agyman Done by "Sky" tv

The finale episodes are like a Doctor Who reunion, how was working with the whole cast?

It was absolutely a unique environment. We were all a little bit unruly, not overly naughty but we just had so much to say to each other. We were all buzzing.

Are you happy with the changes in Martha?

I think in light of where her storyline took her, I like who she's become. She's a grown woman, she knows what she wants, she's independent and she'll do things her way.
Rose and Donna were very much wanting to run away from something with the Doctor and I think with Martha it was probably always a detour. She was always going to get back on her path.

Is she happy to go back and help the Doctor?

It's a no-brainer. When he needs her she's there. The finale's about emphasising how much of a team they all are, he needs them all for one reason or the other.

How does Martha react to Rose?

Umm... (laughs) Well, I will say it's going to be one way or the other. Either they're going to get on, or they're not.

There's a lot of mystery surrounding Donna's fate. Does she die?

That's a big question isn't it?! I will say that it's quite unexpected and very dramatic and well worth the wait. I can't say anymore. It's brilliant; it's going to be the finale of all finales.

What can we expect from Martha in future?

I don't know what the future of Martha is, I'm certainly not tired of playing the part and I know she can be developed even more.
I do know that with the world and the family of Doctor Who, even when you're dead you can still come back. We'll see.

Have they left the door open for Martha to return?

Kind of. It's explained more at the end of episode 13, which I'm sorry I can't elaborate on more. But it's addressed in the finale.

Will you be joining Torchwood?

It's a possibility as well. I think when the character left at the end of episode eight the door was left ajar, so she could definitely move in that direction.

Have they asked?

They might have. Who knows? You'll know after 13! I've become a real master of keeping secrets, there's always something that you mustn't say.

Would you like to do it?

Absolutely. I think that while Martha was in Torchwood, for me as an actor I got to do more. It's a lot darker and it's for a different audience so you get to move in a different direction with the character and that was a lot of fun for me.

It's all one family and as long as I'm within that family I'm happy so either or really. I suppose it depends on where others see her future.

What's next for you?

Both of the shows I'm working on [Little Dorrit and Survivors for the BBC] pretty much wrap up in September, there are some things knocking about but I haven't signed on any dotted lines.

Isn't Torchwood filming around September?

It is. Oops! Ooh... you're good.

Well, we do try Freema.

here are some pictures for "journeys end":

my computers about to fail cus its now counting down so Ill just say go on to the bbc website now!
